Too many BOA accts?

Just got a letter saying I couldn't get the Motley Fool MC because I have too many BOA accts!  I only have 2...has anybody ran into this problem with BOA before?

I have only one card with BOA so I dont know. Looks like some Banks limit the number of cards. I understand junie does not like having more then one or two cards with them.

Re: Too many BOA accts?

I bet the answer is already no, but are any of the two secured. I had two 99/500 offers from them on two different cards, and they only accepted one. The other was turned down due to having too many cards with them.

Neither are secured.  1 is BOA gold and other is BOA Plat.  Do they count FIA cards?

Re: Too many BOA accts?

I think they do also include in FIA cards. I had the Merrill Lynch visa (FIA) and when I applied for the BOA Visa Signature the "credit specialist" I talked to on the phone noted the ML card I had. He was not as concerned about the number of account I had, but the total available credit line through BOA+FIA.
The compromise ended up being that I start off the Visa Sig with only a 5k limit and then moved some of the available credit to that card from the ML visa.
