Too soon to app for Amex?

656 TU and 664 Equifax scores. Would I have a shot at getting approved for a charge card? Don't think I would get approved for a revolver yet. Utility is at 35 percent would love to get foot in door with them

honestly probably not.

with the 30% util is hurting your chances.

get that down to under 10 and only 1 card reporting and you will be good for a charge card imo.

what do the rest of your reports look like? any baddies?

other cards?

p.s. it doesn't really matter when you app for it now since as long as you get a 2013 date! (for backdating purposes)

They util is going to kill you, but if you were going to get approved for something, it would be the green.

Re: Too soon to app for Amex?

Sorry for the aside, but what's the difficulty of getting approved for a AMEX Blue Cash Preferred compared to the Green? Thanks!

Charge cards are easier to get than their revolvers. At least thats what they say here. I was approved for bce first and then my charge cards.
