Total Rewards Visa Signature - no cli

Usually get a CLI every 4 months + 1 day on this card, as is the case with most of us who have the card. While a CLI is never guaranteed, I received the APR redux recently and a $2,500 CLI 4 months + 2 days ago. Tried today and received 7-10 day message. I do use the card several times per month.

Not even going to try again after what pipeguy just went through with the closure of his Total Rewards Visa. Sounds as if some things are continually evolving and changing at Comenity, and not for the better.

Not that they've ever been that great of a card, but the appeal is definitely lessening for most of us after the rotten things they have been doing lately.

Re: Total Rewards Visa Signature - no cli

Not sure you can try in another day and might get it?  Your timing might be off as usually 4 months and + 1 day from last CLI on this card.

After what Pipeguy has gone through thinking about closing my two remaining comenity cards out once they hit a year as I am past the need for them.  They use to be something nice to lean back upon if ever needed, but obviously this isn't the case anymore as obviously they don't want to be used as a utilization buffer nor can they be trusted to be needed if you ever do need them or to carry any balance on them as something might "spook" them and they will close you down.

Just recently rented a new place and got Uverse.. Guess who both the apt complex and uverse pulled... Yep you guessed it EQ!  So my Eq HP's are back up to 15 from 13.  Some things are out of my control(wasn't credit seeking) and if it happens it happens, but rather close those two accounts of mine on my terms vs. theirs.  Although I don't think it will happen, it certainly could to anyone based off his recent episodes along with others.  Yes some people have gone overboard and don't blame Comenity persay, others haven't.

Re: Total Rewards Visa Signature - no cli

I tried on mine also but my timing may be a bit off as I can't recall the exact date that I got my last CLI. I am a Total Rewards member and do visit their casinos pretty often but I wouldn't really be too upset if they do close my card. While I do like to use it on my Vegas visits, it is one of my lower limit cards and I only use it on TR properties and casinos.  My EQ inqs have hit an all time high and not all of them are due to new cards. I had to get a new vehicle because mine was totaled a few weeks ago and of course Honda pulled EQ and I also had an inq from Credco pop up the same day as Honda so I'm assuming they are both for my car financing. We decided to move my DH's truck from our CU to another bank with a much lower rate and of course they pulled EQ also. Chase double pulled my EQ and EX for both my AARP and Marriott a few months ago so it's really taking a beating lately.

I would however be upset if they closed my Loft MC because I shop there for most of my clothing......

That stinks! Someone yesterday was approved via sct and didn't even get the immediate CLI.

weird as that card gives a CLI right off the bat I thought.  Things can possibly be changing more over there?

Re: Total Rewards Visa Signature - no cli

Some of you seen my mega cli's the other day. The only one that didn't increase was TR Visa.

Looks like there might be something going on with that relationship on their end and nothing to do with cardholders.

Maybe you're at max exposure with comenity? What's the current CL of your TR visa?

CC, CM7 and ddemari, I am so glad you all reported this information. It may very well be a slight timing issue (although I counted back several times!), but I too saw the newly approved person who did not get the CLI upon activation, and then CM7 receiving CLI's on other cards but not on Total Rewards is something to consider.

Difficult to say if any of this is a shift, but we are seeing differences from what we had seen previously as an aggregate with Total Rewards (and possible Comenity).

I posted this in hopes that others would share any differing recent experiences they have had with Total Rewards. As always, CLi's are variable, but there are some potential variances being seen with this card (and with Comenity) that we may want to keep an eye on. Thanks very much for bringing your information to the table as well. Smiley Happy

Not even close. My TR Visa is at $15,500, and started at $13,000 8 months ago.

Sorry about your EQ, CC, that is definitely not fun. Enjoy your new place and Uverse though. We don't have it available here yet.

Pipeguy's comments have definitely gotten me thinking too. It is helpful to have the Total Rewards Visa for the 0% balance transfers for 18 months, but they are unpredictable and disorganized as a company and I hope they read these constructive comments and realize that solid customers are talking to other solid customers and it's not to their benefit when negative word gets around.

I also hope B33 posts as he has this card and I believe he can provide some insight as well regarding if he sees any shift.
