Re: Totally Unsucessful Applications - Help!

GW that 90 day late, and do not give up till its gone.  Your income is going against you as well.  I would strongly suggest keeping the AU to improve your AAOA.

This 90 mark hurting the most.

citi is tough to recon, but it can happen.  My wife made it happen.  Denied. Reconned, Denied. Reconn (2) 3K limit for forward.

Who reports is your 90 day late?

Is the card/loan paid in full?

Capital One -- the 90 day late was July 2011 I believe.

The card is paid in full and is now closed.

Re: Totally Unsucessful Applications - Help!

here's a thread with success.

http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Citi-Card-GW-letter-success/m-p/142127#M42222 )

Edit:

Oops that's citi - Still a good reference link.

Capital One is supposed to be tough, but do not give up.... it can be done.  Start with their executive office number, and send letters to the address on your credit report.

From there search this forum for capital one GW's, and google as well.

You could send an email to the "contact us" without personal information and ask for a good will adjustment.  They may point you in the correct direction.

Re: Totally Unsucessful Applications - Help!

Ok. Just got off the phone with Citi. The 90day late is the ONLY thing holding me back. He didn't seem to want to review the good things in my report so I just got off the phone. Should I call back tomorrow and try again? Do I just flat out say "hi I'd like to review my report with you and possibly be reconsidered for the student forward?"

On that note... Time to GW the crap out of Capital One.

I'm guessing you were denied because:

- utilization too high

- delinquency to recent

- not enough revolving credit

There we are.

Goodwill is your best option, although you may be able to get Citi to overlook the 90-day on a HUCA recon.

I've been emailing Cap One's CEO for months asking for a GW deletion on my only derogatory.  They aren't very cooperative.  Good luck!

HUCA?

Im over on the rebuil forum to try to figure out how some poeple had success with Cap1. Maybe if we keep bugging them they will just get sick of it and do it! Wishful thinking I know.
