Chase has this nice feature that UR points can be transferred from your spouse’s Freedom card to your Sapphire, after which you can even transfer your Sapphire points to your spouse’s United mileage account.
Does Amex have something comparable for MR points? Can you transfer your points from your Everyday card to your spouse’s Delta mileage account?

You can't transfer MR appoints directly to your spouse but you can transfer them to one of their travel partners if (only way) they are listed as an authorized user on one of your MR earning cards. So if you the holder of the ED card and that is your only MR earning card your spouse would have to be an authorized user on that card and then you could transfer the points to their Delta mileage account. You used to be able to transfer directly but Amex cracked down because of people selling their MR points to brokers.

Right, once upon a time, you can put any FF# of whomever and the points would transfer. This has always been against the T&C and had always been strictly enforced internationally; but, until recently had always been tolerated in the US.
Now, the MR link will match your name with FF account. As Irish suggested, makeing your wife an AU will solve the problem.
Thanks for the clarification. The AU approach seems fair enough, although a new card is not backdated and as such appears as new credit and although the Everyday additional cardholder gets no signup bonus.
