Transferred limit from less than year old AmEx

I found this out as well just playing around to see what would happen. You can only transfer limits between cards once every 30 days though according to a letter i received (I want to close my ED and I transferred some CL from my Hilton to my BCE so I am unable to transfer anything from my ED at this point, bummer!).

Moving cl counts as a cli for Amex and you can't get anything else for 6 months.

So would it be best to do the 3XCLI first then request a credit allocation right afterwards?

Where did you see that? What I've read suggests otherwise.

I was able to do just this as AX keeps giving me Mickey Mouse approvals on new cards. Had moved about 11K off my Hilton to my EDP.

Awesome! I guess it just surprised me since I was expecting to not be able to do this until after my annual fee came.
