Me encanta México. Cuando estuve allí, he usado mi tarjeta de Barclays.

Usé mi tarjeta débito también para traer dinero por ATM.

I used cash when I was in Mexico recently. Even though places did take cards, it wasn't nearly as prevalent as in the US (and were rarely used by people even at the places where they were accepted). YMMV though.

Take a no-FTF debit card like Charles Schwab and a no-FTF Visa or MasterCard credit card for the hotel/resort. I'd leave the rest at home.
