how about request credit limit increase to your freedom then after 5k apply for sapphire then close the freedom for sapphire? then reapply for freedom

1. Just get a person with a CSP to add you as an authorized user. Then apply. Why I believe this works? two scenarios
a) Became an authorized user on my dad's account with a CSP (3months old account) with only 9 months AAOA, 3 months later I got approved for my own. Although it could be debated cause I have 75k in my accounts at the time with Chase.
but the second one solidified it imo.
b) Friend apped for a CSP, then she told me she only had 7 months of credit history -_-; and that her credit limits were only $300.... total of $600 for two cards............. then I decided to help her so I added her to my CSP the NEXT DAY after the app (app went to decision) Even though she had a 730 score she should NEVER have been approved. She was approved anyways! My reasoning only one that works is. They reviewed the account manually AFTER I added her to my CSP. Or the fact that she's making auto payments on a new BMW lol!
Her score 730's my score 760's when approved. It was our first 5k + limits ever for both of us, I was also approved for the Freedom for $3,000 on the same day! I also got a mileage plus for $5,000 just arrived in the mail today
That's interesting. I was pretty surprised too when I got approved (even though after asking on this forum, most said would be instant approval).

Given that you went through numerous Amex apps pre-approval...
Speaking plainly, I don't think repeated applications for any card in a short-time frame makes sense, lenders tend to like stability.
Yes. Chase is VERY inquiry sensitive.

I agree that i had to app multiple times but i always knew i was gonna be denied cuz of all my new accounts and it was my way to calm the itch since they were all SPs. All my accounts from my app spree turned 6 months this month so its funny that i was approved when they all turned 6 months old.
Thats why i say the history is enough for Amex but not for Chase.
And i can handle all my accounts just fine and i plan on adding even more.
