Re: Two New Blue Cash American Express Cards!!!!!!!!!!!

Just for reference, when I called the CSR I talked to said it you can change any revolving amex card to the new blue cash cards.  I was able to switch my costco card to the preferred blue cash, and he said I would qualify for the $100 bonus.

What's the down side if you get $100 cash back?

I didn't see any wrong with it except $75 AF with the Preferred Card. That's why I went for Everyday Card because I don't spent enough to offset the annual fee.

I'd jump on this if there were no PC restrictions.

That's only a one time $100 cash back.  The AF is paid every year the card is opened.   But now you got me thinking.  Will I get the cash back immediately?  When will they charge the AF?  Will I be able to PC the card back to a regular Blue. before the AF?

My understanding is this.  The fee is charged on the first statement.  You spend $500 in 60 days, and receive $100 cash back.  Use the card for a year for the higher rewards.  If it doesn't justify the fee, downgrade to the everyday one for no fee.

I'd most likely downgrade since I don't spend enough on groceries to offset the $75.  With the promo, it's nice to have 6% on what little groceries I do buy, not to mention the 3% on dept stores and gas.
