Re: Two questions

I did not click on a link in an email shreco, I entered it. There was nothing ambiguous/unclear about my question at all. I do not use autofill. (I loathe autofill and find it a security problem.) Now whenever I enter www.myfico.com I am taken to directly www.myfico.com/12.

You have any more specifics on exactly what I have to delete so I don't have to take the shotgun approach?

Re: Two questions

You have to clear cookies. Clearing the cache will not do it. Clearing my cache took a very long time! Clearing the cooking was instant.

Just clear your cache and delete your cookies
the way you normally do.Then bookmark both pages.

This should take care of it. Smiley Happy

Re: Two questions

My hard drive is very much cleaner now that it was before. The volume of cached files was awsome!

Re: Two questions

Does 'clear cache' = 'delete temporary internet files' or is this something else?

Re: Two questions

Hi scapegrace, Smiley Happy

Yes it does.Smiley Happy

I always clear everything on my computer.
Here's what I do:

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Browsing History

- Click "Delete". The Delete Browsing History window will open.

- When the Delete Browsing History window opens,
you can pick and choose what you want to delete.
If you want to delete everything, click the "Delete All"
button at the bottom of the window. Smiley Happy

Hope this is more clear. And just so you know, I'm
using Windows XP. Smiley Happy

p.s. You can bookmark both myfico pages or open each site
in separate browser tabs. Whatever works for you. Smiley Happy

Thanks for clarifying and confirming that the 2 phrases mean the same thing, CanDo. Smiley Happy

Re: Two questions

I have a slightly different approach to computer security. I do 95% of my personal computing on my notebook. No one else is allowed to use it and it is in my personal possession 24hrs a day. (This is in no small part due to the fact that I am a major internet poker player and have no interest in allowing even the chance of anyone else accessing my accounts!) I work for a Fortune 100 company (think very large cruise line) and we have a whole department solely dedicated to securing our computers and networks. They are really tough. Storing mp3's on company systems can get you fired and we have no general internet access. (Limited sites only). I can access weather sites so I can see the next hurricane comiing though. I guess that is considered work related...
