99% sure it is an ongoing balance. Basically because it floats around the same $ amount +/- $1000 every month, like it is just being paid off slowly.

But if I'm an AU it's no problem right? I can just ask to be removed - right?

  I'm guessing you're an au on the account with your mom.  Don't think you can legally be equally responsible for the debt (ie. joint account holder) with your mom at the age of 13. Could be wrong though.
