I have applied... but I've been declined due to too many new accounts this year (two new autos, several new cards, a total over 15 INQs). The CSR told me my internal AMEX risk score was too high and to wait until my INQs drop and reapply. It's the last card I actually WANT in my collection. The others (AMEX TrueEarnings, CapOne Venture, CapOne Cash Rewards, and Discover More) will have to come after I close on my house.

slightly off topic--its a 20% discount on Ultimate Rewards Travel. That makes your points worth 25% more. Its an inverse relationship. If they were worth 20% more, then the signup bonus would say the 40,000 bonus points($400 normally) are worth $480 instead of $500.
