*UPDATE* Amex Charge Denied but Revolver Approved?

*UPDATE*

I called Amex and it turns out they were protecting my identity by declining the applicatons. I now have three revolvers with them:

Mercedes Benz: $12,500

Delta Reserve: $19,500

Starwood: $21,000.

My application for the Platinum was just denied. I'll never know why I can't get a charge card...

Hello everyone!

I have always been under the impression that Amex charge cards are easier to obtain, but was instantly denied for the Platinum and instantly approved for the SPG on the same day. My CL on the SPG is $21,000 yet I can't get a Platinum. It doesn't make much sense to me... What do you guys think?

Thanks so much!

Yeah but if you apply before the year is over you'll get the $200 airline credit now, and then be eligible again in january, effectively bringing your AF down to $50, then when you add in the global entry credit your AF is -$50. lol
