Re: Will this hurt my credit?

If your limit isn't at least in the $75k range this charge will never go through.
Most likely they will let a NPSL card charge 10-25% over CL depending on history and credit and all those things

Re: Will this hurt my credit?

truely npsl is not unlimited. there is always a internal limit set on every card. but never heard of a csp going that high. but who knows. could be a first.

I am planing to use my CSP to make a 115k purchase, because of im getting reward points. I have cash in bank ready to pay in off in full. But I dont have that high CL, I called CS, and they said thats a NPSL card because its a VISA SIG. But im afraid it will hurt my credit due to the utilization. Any thought?

Thx in advance.

OP: In the conversation with the CSR, did you bring up the possibility the charge would be over $100k, or just the concept of NPSL?

First of all, congratulations on getting a Patek Philippe (or BMW M6? probably not enough gas guzzler lmao)

Okay just kidding. I don't know anyone that has ever swipped anything 6-digit on a Chase Sapphire, nor I know anyone that ever has a balance above 6 digits. I know Chase offers a high end card for its wm clients ... can't recall it.

Unfortunately you can't check your spending flex with Chase like on Amex's website lol

Re: Will this hurt my credit?

checked his line-up...

"csp with 25k, pnc 2.2k, freedom 6k, amazon 5.5k, amex blue cash 7k, barclay 3k, discover 7k"

freedom is 2 yrs and CSP 3 mo's.

doubt they'll allow "max times 5" on a flex spend card.

I also doubt a merchant would allow CC on such a large purchase. If it were me, I'd be super nervous about paying back such a huge CC bill. I guess he could get about half of the amount charged if he maxed each card, but that would just multiply the possibility of getting cards cancelled or having repayment issues.

I'm betting it goes through. On one card. It's the kind of major charge that may get a phone call to confirm, but if the resources are visible to the bank, they may let it run.

@Anonymous,

If you are buying a fixer- upper house that requires cash only, DO NOT DO IT. Chase will initial agree (those CSR sometimes don't know the right information) but will shut all your cards /accounts down.  I know someone who did that and has regretted it since.  Not only did chase come after him, others shut him down too.  But I really hope that is not what you are buying with it.

OP: NPSL doesn't mean you have infinite limit, there's an internal limit. If it is truly NPSL I guess I should try to swipe a Gulfstreamer with it.
