DW has a US Bank Visa with a CL of $4100 which has been open for 5 years, she has never received nor requested a CLI. Does anyone know if USBank is a hard or soft pull on CLI requests, and is there a way to do it automatically (ie online or through an automated system ) I don't see any CLI request link when I log into their web site.
I just posted about this earlier today, actually.
I spoke with someone at US Bank underwriting and she told me that there’s nothing she could do about a CLI or a PC - and that I’d have to speak with Card Member Services. I spoke with a gentleman there, who was borderline clueless (he asked me what a hard pull was), I explained what I wanted done ( to request a credit limit increase with no hard pull) and after speaking with a supervisor he told me that it’s always a hard pull, no matter what, for any amount. Additionally, he told me that they manually review accounts every 2 years for automatic increases/decreases.
I said “no thanks”.
Also, you can request a credit limit increase via your online account under "customer service".
