Any US Bank tricks?

HP unless invited by US bank for a SP CLI either through email/mail.. Also YMMV, but you also can get them if it is under $1500 request.  Usually a SP, but HP's have certainly happened.

I got a letter from them saying that they reviewed my account in January and that if I reply by sometime in March I could get a CLI of "up to $4k" on my Cash+ card - my limit has been $5k. I called them, they said I would be getting a $4.5k limit increase. Since I replied to this letter, there will be no inquiry for it (at least not a hard one). However if I had not gotten this letter or had waited until after the deadline to request the CLI, it would have generated a hard pull. This conversation was earlier this week.

I tired the $1500 SP trick last month and it worked for me. I had all my credit bureaus frozen too.

The "trick" is to request 1500 CLI or less to avoid a HP. But then, some people have reported they still got a HP regardless.

I'd just wait till I get an offer for a SP CLI.

I got denied when trying the $1,500 request.

But then I’ve gotten 40% CLI after 10 months or so as auto CLI. I also got some of the letters that a CLI was waiting, took advantage of one for $4k or so.

OP what is your current limit, how long have you had the card? Any other US Bank cards or products?

US-Bank makes you wait some time between CL increases.

I got my first CL increase at about 1 year (Automatic).

Second year (Letter with Web-Page LInk)

Year 3 (e-Mail followed by the letter).
