US Bank Cash+ app issue

So I applied for the Cash+ and was approved...for a cash rewards ($3500), as I was afraid would happen. Ugh! Is there anything I can do? Anyone I can call to have it upgraded or recommend or anything? This is unfortunate :/ thanks everyone!

Keep the account for few months. I think you can ask for a CLI, which will be a HP, and then they can upgrade the card to cash+ in 4 months from now.

Lots of threads on this topic.  US Bank likes to see experience with $5K+ lines, and $30K minimum income.

 

I'd use the card for a while, pay your bills faithfully, and try for a CLI or PC to Cash+ after a few months.

No I applied over the phone. And my income is $39,000 with a few credit limits over $5k.

US Bank seems to do this often. I would keep it though, I've read they are good about upgrading to Cash+ in short time.

At least you got in, they revoked my approval!

Yes, it was for Flexperks Travel Rewards (which happens to continuously scroll across the banner of this page).  She said they wanted more experience with my existing tradelines (AAoA 3 years).  I think that's their way of telling me not to app for anything for 6 months, then try again. 

 

I'm not sure why their website doesn't just give a pending status versus giving the details if it can't be approved - seems to unnecessarily raise expectations.
