Ok, just kidding about the last part ... maybe.
It's a way to look like you have a clear category, Books, that only works with certain types of books, so you give a benefit, but don't get overrun with people who can route $2k of spend through Amazon with no trouble if they were aware of it.
The real test, though, is still to sign up for the 5% Bookstores category, then actually buy a range of products on Amazon, and see the actual reward. So far, all is triangulation and speculation here.
