back in december i tried their pre-qual and the only thing they offered me was a secured card. my scores were in the low 700s at that time. been trying to get a card from them for several years. so far this is the only lender that's been difficult to crack for me. of course i also have a derog (set to fall off late this year). that was one of the reasons for denial they gave me the last time i app'd early last year.
before you app, wait 'til other members that have their cc chime in. they will be able to give you more information regarding credit profile to get approved. good luck! i will be rootin' for you!
I've used the prequal several times and I just can't force myself to believe their "offers". Did you get the verbiage "Your Offers" or "Congrats, you're preapproved"? I always get "Your Offers" just like on Chase's prequal site. US Bank always spits out the FlexPerks first then the Platinum followed by the Harley Davidson Signature Visa. Somehow, US Bank knows I have a new Harley and is always sending me invites for that card. Funny thing is, I paid cash for the Harley. Not sure how they know unless Harley reports sales to them to help them promote their Harley cards. I'll admit, that jet black and silver Harley card sure is a pretty thang... haha
FYI - I've been banking with US Bank for over 10 years now. Not sure if that increases my chances and/or ups my chances for a credit line. Current reporting util is 66% (now paid down to 1%). EQ and TU over 700, EX 670ish.

You just motivated me to try this again, junior88. I don't get "recommended for you" at all. The exact verbiage at the top of the page is "Your Card Offers". This time it spit out the Visa Platinum first followed by the FlexPerks Travel Rewards and Harley Davidson Sig Visa.
I wonder what the difference is in verbiage between "recommended for you" and "your card offers". Hmmm.....
