US Bank Service Area?

Have tried to google this but end up just getting locations for their branches or ATMs. I really would like to get the cash rewards visa, and the WEMC buisiness cards. I applied to them back in 2012 and got an automatic denial, then the letter that came in the mail said it was becuase they dont service my state or something. Nothing to do with my credit. I try their "reccommended credit card offers" thing and it gives me quite a few, reccommending the cash rewards visa first. So does this mean they now service my state (im in Va). Anybody have any insite. Im trying to find credit not from the main stream banks (citi, chase, amex, etc). But would rather not waste an HP if they will auto deny me again  Thanks!

A check of their service area shows no branches on the east coast so it appears you are still out of their service area. And as a side note their recommended offers are just marketing junk and and really meaningless. Don't waste a HP.

Back when I was in a similar situation living in Michigan (nearest branch was Chicago), I opened a checking acct online and direct deposited part of my check each month. About four months later I applied for Cash+ (over the phone at the time) and was approved.

I am outside of U.S. Bank's service area, and I have a few of their credit cards (namely, Cash+ and FlexPerks Select+ AmEx) and also get "recommended offers," which aren't indicative of anything. It's my understanding that they will make exceptions for personal credit cards, but not for business cards nor any other loans if you are outside of their areas. I had my eye on one of their business cards but have since moved on from it. I would have to recommend that you inquire with them if they will consider an application from you for a personal card. Personally, I haven't encountered that denial reason from an online application.

I'm in PA and have their card. Give their customer service a call and ask about VA offerings.

I'm not in their service area but I have a Cash+ and they have made other card offers.
