I reviewed my annual statement from US Bank and I see why I didn't get an increase. I have a Cash+ Visa Signature with a 5k limit. I've only spent $1,440 over a 12 month period. In April 2015 I bit the bullet and spent a little of $3,000 and let it report. I'll pay it off by due date. I would like to hear from you all that have the Cash+ and have received auto CLI's. What has been your usage, score, utilization, etc... Whatever you think may be helpful. Thank you.
On the negative side, I max out the 5% each quarter (usually) so spending $8k a year for the last two years, and no auto CLI. But again, with relatively low spend, why should they.
I got mine in October/November 2013, $8,500 starting limit. Charged an iPad, and some minor coffee charges, paid down the iPad, and got an auto CLI in July 2014 to $12,500. Very little use. I also got an auto CLI on my Cash Rewards after it opened, that was from 2009. Typical experience says light usage is all that is needed, though your $3k PIF may help also.
Thank you both. I'm going to try this experiment and see what happens. US Bank, NASA, KeyBank and now Equality are the only cards that I have under that 10k mark. Equality and KeyBank are new cards so no data points to indicate movement, but NASA has flat out told me no on two occassions due to too much available credit which is their right. I've never asked US Bank for a limit increase because I don't want to waste the HP when everything says they'll say no.

I got auto CLI at 10 months of age. I never put over a couple hundred per month and one reoccurring charge of gym membership. I always pay statement balance in full. I went from $7k limit to $10.5k.
Thanks. We'll see were this goes. I'm not expecting big results so if it happens I'll be pleasantly happy to say the least.
