Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

Thank you Blue! I owe you a response to your last post. As you can see I have been busy...I was on the phone all day. I LOVED Disneyland when I went. I stayed from open to close and my feet hurt so bad from standing in the long lines but it was so fun and I did not want to leave. I hope you both had a great time! Smiley Happy

Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

Thanks Lexie and Epcot! Discovery kept putting me on hold which gave me a great feeling!

The LO at my CU even sent my file back to underwriting (yes they are so strict that the credit card app goes through underwriting like a mortgage...ridiculous) with the message that I'm closing my accounts if they don't reconsider. The LO called me back and the underwriter said no. So I just called her back and left a "nice" voicemail for her for Monday morning that said I was approved by Discover so I got what I needed and that I plan to close all my accounts in May and move to X Credit Union because I heard their members were treated better there. Then I said, since I use CCs now instead of debit card, there are very few transactions that need to be moved now so it should be pretty seamless. Then I said, have a nice weekend.

Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

No problem Movingforward...it's all good...lol. LOL, I kept telling her we should leave earlier, but nooo, we ended up leaving around 11 in the afternoon and we came home around 1 at night (park closes at 12, we left at 11, since it is an hour drive back home.) We had a blast...lol, I can't wait to go again! Maybe in the summer once I can get some more days off (I'm currently working 5-6 days, so hopefully soon again Smiley Happy.)

Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

I was much younger (even younger than you when I went Disneyland...I was still in High School). If I went now, I wouldn't survive that long. LOL! It is nice when you live in the state because who can come several times to see everything. I was traveling with the marching band and had only one day for Disneyland and I was hanging out there like I would never see it again. LOL

Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

I do typically go once or twice a year. Oh you can't be that old..lol. That's what I really love about California, the weather, it's beaches, it's closeness to a lot of things, good places out here to eat. The downsides include traffic, millions of people, and the fact that it is a pretty expensive state to live in too. LOL, you should come see it again! I there were some things I missed (we wanted to go cars land...but the line was too long) and go on some of the other things, but it took too long. But we did see Fantasmic.

Re: Unexpected Emergency App Spree

Congrats on discover! It pays! Smiley Wink

I would definitely recon the barclaycard. Might as well do what you can to get approved. A HP is a HP. The extra CL will help with utilization.
