Unique Amex Backdating Question

Back in the dark ages I was an authorized user on my fathers Amex. As was normal then, my card reflected his join date rather than mine. I've only just signed up for my own Amex account and in the process I discovered that Amex is still reporting my old AU account - and they're still using his old join date rather than mine. This gives me a rather astonshing average age of accounts.

Of course, my new card actually reflects the date I became an AU.

I assume that it would be impossible to have my new account backdated to my fathers? I certainly don't want to poke the bear and have them 'fix' things.

 Thank you

There used to be ways to get this done. Unfortunately they no longer work.
