Is the concensus that I should just go for it? I received one of those 50,000 mile offers in the mail.

I agree with CreditCuriosity: If you got this mailer, TAKE IT. The 50k miles is a good deal for $2k spend, and since you can utilize the card at a United hub location, it's going to be quite useful for you. No FTF, Free checked bag, early boarding, 2 lounge passes, all good stuff.

With your 720 score, should not be an issue to get it.

Just like CC, I also got a mailer. Mine expires August 31, but I'm probably going to pass because several other cards got in the way the last several weeks.

Good luck!

Chase is being hard on their core cards; Freedom, CSP, Ink, Slate. But, they are still being generous to some on co-branded cards. I was approved for United Explorer Visa earlier this year, I would say it's not that hard to get. Especially if your scores in the 720s.

Good to Know. Thanks

My experience is that if a bankrupty shows no matter how old, denial follows. I waitied until mine dropped off then was approved after being denied a year earlier.

Yes, the BK is keeping me from pulling the trigger. I'd hate to waste another HP on chase just for them to tell me that they don't trust me.
