Thing is they didn't even pull a soft. The only thing I was asked is salary. I would have expected them to ask me for pay stubs which I would have given them.

Maybe you could request a smaller CLI, say to 22,000, and avoid the HP?  Just a thought.

Never mind - just saw the messages about the denial.  Very strange considering your income.  Maybe they're just getting really strict or something.  And a HP to boot - what a bummer.
