Not if Amex is offering you a "conversion" (upgrade). In this case, you keep the same account number and only the 4-digit security code and exp date (might) change.

If you initate a product upgrade (this is not the case during activation), Amex might very well hard you, and your new card will have a new account number. This can cause a hit to scores:

- new inq

- new account

- re-aging your file

Gratz on all them Amex,

I was very happy when i got the first one.

Once you got the green which do you use more CC or the Charge card?

Should i put all my  monthly payments on the card (myfico, WOW, ect...)

or would that be more of headache ?

I have all my bills (except mortgage and auto loan) on auto pay at Amex

I have carefully chosen which card to pay what bill based on rewards and billing date-

I've seen one of the Amex advertisements before with some sort of promotion if I pay my mortgage with my Green card.

I wish Wells Fargo would let me. I'm losing a substantial amount of points a month by using a check over a CC.

Indymac Bank let's you charge your mortgage payment-

That's the only one I know of-
