Re: Us bank cash+??

Ask if there are any available offers to convert your account to the Cash +. It may or may not be available for your account at this time so they may say they don't see any offers.

OP, as mentioned here, it's possible your account may not have sufficient history but they only way to find out is when you contact them to see if it's eligible.  Otherwise, you can try after 6+ months of having the card.

+1

I recently called to check whether my CashRewards from 2009 could be PC'd to Cash+, and it was already in their computer, so "Yes we can". Thus, two Cash+ cards now.

Your situation may be a little early, but the only way to find out is to call. They will at least know you are interested.

Good luck!

Re: Us bank cash+??

Cash plus:

you pick one 2% category of gas, groceries, or restaurants and two 5's from this list: https://cashplus.usbank.com/index.cfm/main/categories/demo/true

also unless you are already with US bank they are really hard to get approved for due to them screening extra bureaus besides the normal 3, right?

their perks cards as a 25000 point redemption covers a plane ticket up to $400 but shouldnt it be $500???

now the flex perks  travel amex looks better:

The FlexPerks Travel Rewards Card gives you flexible rewards that can be redeemed for air travel, merchandise, gift cards and more. Also after 3500 spend in 4 months you get a 20k point bonus.

Earn FlexPoints Quickly

  • Up to One FlexPoint for every $1 spent in Net Purchases.2
  • Double FlexPoints on airlines, gas or groceries - whichever you spend most on each monthly billing cycle3
  • Plus, Double FlexPoints on restaurants with your U.S. Bank FlexPerks Travel Rewards American Express Card.3
  • Double FlexPoints on most cell phone expenses3
  • Triple FlexPoints on qualifying charitable donations.4

Redeem FlexPoints Easily

  • Travel on more than 150 airlines with no blackout dates or online redemption fees.5 List of available airlines.6
  • Redemption starts at just 5,000 FlexPoints for merchandise, gift cards, statement credits and more.
  • Get up to a $25 airline allowance with every award travel ticket good towards baggage fees, in-flight treats and more.7

Enjoy Superior Value

  • Only 20,000 FlexPoints = up to a $400 ticket.
  • Get 3,500 FlexPoints each Cardmember year you spend $24,000 in Net Purchases, which can be redeemed for your annual fee or toward other rewards.
  • No Foreign Transaction Fees.

ok so you basically need to spend 2 grand a month to get 70 bucks? even if you earned it with a 2x category thats only 40k points so you would get up to 1200 in travel (after 2x25 credits minus 50 AF)?

2pct card =$480

I guess its not too bad.

Anybody want to chime in on US bank?

Re: Us bank cash+??

It is a soso card at best.
The catcha is UP to $400, that means if the tickets cost is $401, it will cost you 25K points,if the ticket cost 301, it still cost u 20K points, those are extreme case, but as u can see, in most case, points worth lless than 2cent.
24K yearly spending to earn extra 3500 points means you spend 24K less on other REAL travel card or meet signing bonus.
Amex version has better benefits, but less place accepted.

LOL If it was me, I would need a piece of masking tape with what categories are selected for each card written in sharpie and taped onto the front of both cards - otherwise I'd never know if I was using the right one!
