Well, I pulled the trigger on a CLI. Asked for an even 3K to get me to 15K. We'll see. I really hope it isn't a hard or else I'm coming for you guys!!!

The upshot is that they generally will go up to 1500 sans HP, this has been the case with them for some time IIRC. I had forgot that and requested 4k b4 this thread refreshed my memory ![]()

Too many! 5 or 6 i think.
1 US Bank
2 Sallie Mae
1 Barclays
I think those are the ones that are still counting < 1 year.

Well, this varies all over the place, but last time I watched my inquiries (and nobody quote me on this because it is different for every single soul, every single time, apparently),
My 1st and 2nd inquiries cost me 0 points - nada.
Then, my third inquiry cost me 5 FICO points.
My fourth and fifth inquiry cost me 0 points - nada.
Then my sixth inquiry cost me 7 FICO points.
I'll cross my fingers that you get no FICO hit for this particular inquiry. But even if you did - that's a decent trade for the increased CL.
I do keep my inquiries down, but I don't think they're that damaging - especially for occasional CLI's on a very good card.
Was that other USBank inquiry for the opening of this card? How old is it? (sorry if you posted that and I failed to pick it up)

Thanks--I hope I don't add more to the tally either! Yes, the other inquiry was for the card opening in Nov. or Dec. of last year. (I didn't post it BTW)

Just curious, did you get Credit Limit increase that you have requested?
