Utilization Question...

Does util count as from the total amount of credit you have or is it just for one card?

 

I have $1250 in credit

I owe $276 on that total credit but that is all on one card....how should that report? I just want to know what to expect on the 5th Smiley Very Happy

Total CL: $40k+

it counts on both levels on Transunion Fico only

Equifax only the total UTL of all the cards combine

I suppose that's why the "best" thing to do is to have one card report 1-9% and have the others report zero balances. This way, all 3 credit bureaus are "happy."

That is weird - TU cares about the individual cards and the other bureaus don't?

I agree with you

I never really got that part since fico uses the info from the bureau and calculate the score so what's the deal with the different calculation on this?
