I wouldn't be surprised if this Luxury Card launches as a Visa Infinite and watch how quickly people will be begging to apply for it lol

Sounds pretty sweet!

Just signed up on their website to be notified for when applications start.

Will most likely not be applying as my income doesn't justify and I already have travel cards but I am excited to see what they do with the new card!

A good mixture of the Amex Plat/PRG and Chases CSP/Ritz cards would be perfect.

Something like this:

$450 annual fee

No FTFs

$200 yearly travel credit

Lounge Club Access

Extra points for travel, dining and gas.

Free 4th night stay at any hotel

$400 point equivalent signup bonus

A cool design Smiley Happy

Thing is, they NEED to impress people with this new card because the Black Card was such a disappointment!

Am I the only one that thinks of the AMEX black card.

Definitely not.  Barclaycard was banking on that when the selected the Black name.

Doesn't this seem worse? Wasn't it $300 travel credit before? How much different is this 4th free night and how does that work if you book 6 days, the 7th is free?

Re: Visa black card no longer - now Luxury card

I think they were just banking on the name "black card" and what's associated with it instead of actually banking on a nice rewards/benefits package. Curious to see what they come up with though.
