Visa vs MasterCard?

Does anyone have a preference? Any noticeable difference for use?

Re: Visa vs MasterCard?

I personally perfer Mastercard over Visa, simply because i've never seen a merchant that won't take MC, but have seen some that won't take Visa.

That's odd. Any place I've seen that takes Visa also takes MC

I haven't yet had a merchant turn me away for trying to use either a Visa or a MasterCard, although I generally only shop in the US, Canada, and Europe. I would say if you want to be sure that you'll have a card that will work, then carry both, but my default card (for if Discover or AMEX isn't accepted) is my BoA Cash Rewards card, followed by my Sallie Mae card. You should be fine either way.

Mastercard -- all of my very best APRs (other than my 6.25% V FNBO Amex) came from Mastercard.  Visa's APRs were always significantly higher, for me.  YMMV of course.
