I was shocked with my recent CLI, also.....but not complaining!!

I've had my Wmart store card since '08 and started with $400 CL.   After learning on this forum to request CLI every 4 mos, I'd finally made it to $1250 CL....always just $100 or so CLI each time.

Requested increase last week and almost fell out of my chair when I saw my new CL of $2150  .....a $900 CLI!!

WOWIE ZOWIE!    Don't want to get too off-topic, but  I didn't realize Walmart gave that kind of limit...even on their Discover cards!  My highest CL is $10K (Amex Blue) and lowest is my

'regular' Discover at $2000.  I've had the Discover card since '08 also, and not even 1 CLI!!  When I've called on it, would require hard pull so I declined.

Might not be a bad idea to app for the Walmart Discover!!

actually, when you apply, you are considered initally for a walmart discover by default; then if you cannot be approved for that card then the automatically consider you for a walmart store card. people that receive walmart store cards don't have a strong credit profile when they are approved for it. i you have a tu fico above 685 i believe, your chances for a walmart discover card are higher.
