WAMA converting Chase good for us?

I've received my WAMU card a little under a year ago.  It has a $1500 limit and I haven't had a CLI.  Will this be good for me in order to get a CLI or convert to a better card?  I've read that WAMU is a little more reluctant to raise the limits but I don't know anything about Chase.  Any ideas?

Re: WAMA converting Chase good for us?

In this economy, everyone is somewhat reluctant to raise credit limits.

However for chase, you will now be able to request a limit increase where as for wamu, you could not.

However the downfall is, it will cost you a hard pull on your report.

hope this helps

Re: WAMA converting Chase good for us?

WaMu's policy was no customer-requested CLIs... ever. I'm sure Chase will not continue that practice. This is good news for all of us with WaMu cards. Except Chase's policy is if you request CLI, they pull a hard inq. So the CLI situation has improved but with a caveat.

The Chase switch will definitely be good if you want to convert to a different card. Chase routinely does PCs. WaMu didn't do that because they didn't really have any other CC products to switch you to.
