I think they send me this offer based of length of my credit history, assuming that anyone with short credit history must be happy with such an opportunity. I have recently chatted with CapOne rep and he refused to believe that I have 6 figures in available revolving credit.
APR itself does not matter, all my APR's are 0%, regardless what creditors think they are.
What puzzles me is that I opted out about a year ago and 3 out of 4 CRA are frozen.
lol, welcome to the US! You're in the big-time now.
Interesting about the freeze, though. You must have come up on some non-credit-related list. Have you opted out of everything, or just frozen your reports?
Some lenders send credit offerings based upon other 'public record' information such as home ownership (deed filed), business filings (dba or corporation), and sometimes they are 'affiliation' offerings based upon some agreement with another company that you do business with.
Sears has been known to send credit offerings to new home owners (county deed records), for example.

CapOne, with fabulous 22.9% APR and promise to increase CL every 3 mos. Should I?
Exactly which Cap1 card was this an offer for. All Cap1 cards are not created equal. You know that, I think. I wonder if this is one of those with the $500 CL cap to go along with the high APR...

Something Platinum, besides no card is worth triple pull.

There are quite a few different Cap1 "Platinum" cards:

Ya, devaluation of Platinum.
The only card by CapOne I might slightly be intrested in is Prestige card, but again, no card is worth triple pull.
