Wait for it .. BBVA AMEX *Closed* After Complaint !!!!

Cap tool I may not want it reopened. But u also don't want a new account suddenly showing up with a $2000 balance on a closed account (which will report a $0 CL correct?) KILLING my UTIL either .. Unless I'm wrong as to how that works.

I either want it reopened or not reporting to the CRA while I pay it down. And to my journey - please see previous post. There were NO SOFTS from
BBVA so they have no idea about the discover account. I do however agree that I will not be APPING for months !! I hope Amex does me well, as they gave me over $10k on two cards around the same mini app spree. I am babying those !

Sorry it happened to you but honestly you have no recourse as to it reporting....

By Law..it will report as closed with a balance....My advice if you have the funds PAY IT OFF NOW

Myjourney: well then short of getting it reopened with the executive specialist or a CPFB complaint as others have, I guess I can kiss my UTIL goodbye, followed by my high score, followed by other accounts. I am super super upset and down over this whole credit BS game.

Just spoke with a supervisor who was SO KIND. Very informative. Told me that the account was closed by an agent in the back office today 30 minutes AFTER my conversation with the executive specialist. He could not say why as there was no reason, but the agent ID was from the back office pertaining to security and identity issues !!! Just as I thought.

He emailed my executive rep (I've left her 2 voice mails) and she will be in at 7am so I will be rising with the hens to call her!! He was very apologetic and stated this is very odd indeed, and confirmed that the BT that's posted will be paid but not the other unless the get it reopened.

Still super upset but will wait and see where we go from here. I'll update as I know. Still absolutely dumbfounded by this treatment of their consumers.

I applied for this card.  It gave me a slam dunk.  Then nothing.  It was as if I had not even applied.  I applied a second time and took the hard pull.  Declined.  Thank God!  I have closed other cards for soft pulling me too much as if they are my big brother.  Nothing worse than a terrible financial company.
