I got this card last week. When I applied. The old version was on the website. I was surprise to see it was not the same design when I applied. I really like this design much better. It compliment the Discover logo.

@kwazzie everyone says this new look is way better than the old one
This makes me want to apply but get approved for the discover not store card. Maybe soon we shall see hahha. Does your card have a shiny silver strip on the back?

Sorry for being vague. The silver stripe is the magnetic swipe strip.
Its a basic silver color like what would be on a car. Not shiny.

Got my new store card over a month ago the next day got a letter saying the new card will be upgraded to a Discover (if I choose to accept). Kind of a waste of money but I guess they don't mind..

@bradpitt I wonder what the hologram in the front is for? Thanks for sharing.

@youngandcreditwrthy thats what I said the wal mart logog is hidden so when you pay at a different place they wont know what type of card it is.

@AF_23 you should just do a replacement card request through the automated system or just call them its not like they are gonna reject you. Be sincere and say "I'm requesting a new card beacuse i want the new design and dont want this ugly old one anymore" hahha
