I'll certainly be interested to see what they say, Amex definitely needs to revamp some of their practices, this may be one of them enroute to being a more general purpose card issuer / servicer.

Co-branded annoucment? Perhaps....but that doesn't sound like amex. especailly since they just axed the zync

It will be a prepaid card, I'm sure. much like the one Amex brands for Target.

The walmart moneycard is offered in a visa and MC version. Chances are they're going to announce an amex version, or somehow play the amex prepaid card into their walmart moneycard equation.

I didn't even know about the moneycard until I was at lunch the other day, and the card I wanted to use was trapped behind my walmart card, so I pulled that out, and my buddy goes "oh, you have the walmart prepaid card?" I was like "no..."
