Re: Walmart CLI - They Make It So Easy!

WOW thats something!! excellent job!

Im a 18 yr old in high school with no annual income that loves learning new things about credit. I pulled my FIRST Experian Score from Quizzle.com (on 2-9-13). Quizzle.com was the only site that was able to find my credit report, the rest required more information in order to do so since I lack public records. I'll update on the cards I am currently as an AU because some haven't reported yet. I don't own any cards under my name since I don't have an annual income to include when applying. Im super EXCITED!! MyFico.com is awesome!!!

Re: Walmart CLI - They Make It So Easy!

I opened card 9/12 with $500 limit, rec'd a $150 cli via website within 4 months, then a month later I called backdoor number for an increase and they up'd it to $1k.  I hate when they ask you how much you want, so you tell them, then they give it to you without hesitation and then you feel you should have asked for more lol.   Wish there was some magic amount to ask for (double the current limit, maybe??) as a starting point.

I'm still in rebuilding stage, so I think I'm going to ask in a couple more months for another $1k, see what happens. :smileyhappy:

Thanks!  You have had some very nice increases as well - congrats on those!  I have no doubt you will be at 10k the next time you call.  Oh and you need to call them about your cash adv limit since it should be 20% of your limit as per their card agreement.  Youngandcreditwrthy pointed out this flaw that can sometimes happen where they raise your overall limit but fail to bring up your cash adv limit.

That is exactly how I feel.  I think you should try for $3,000 next time you ask.....or more.  GE is way more generous that most companies.  Good luck!!!  :smileyhappy:
