Re: Walmart CLI denied

You should try calling the backdoor #. I went from a 1,300 initial CL to a 10k limit after recon.

Re: Walmart CLI denied

My LUV button on WalMart's site hasn't been functional for a few months, as I would typically get small increases every 4 months in the past. Went from $750 when I first signed up a few years ago to $1900. Decided to call the Contact Us number given on their site, went through the automated prompts, asked for an increase to $4000, was turned down but was given a counter offer of $3400. Haven't used my WalMart card much in the last few months either, but worth the couple of minutes of calling into an automated system. FICO score this month is 752.

Re: Walmart CLI denied

My first attempt for a cli was denied and about a month later i got a auto cli.  Within 9 months of getting the card i received a auto cli 3 times. So be patient and your time will come.

Re: Walmart CLI denied

I opened my Walmart store card in December and in April after my statement cut I requested a CLI to go from 300 to 1000 thru the contact us phone number. It denied me for that increase but countered me an offer to 750. Try to request an increase every 4 months. It's a soft pull and the worse to come out of asking for it is a denial but it won't hurt you fico-wise.

Re: Walmart CLI denied

I wonder how much of the denial had to do with the fact that I don't carry a balance.  They only make money on interchange fees.  I don't use the card as my primary card either, because their rewards stink.  It's pretty much useful for free TU FICO scores and 0% financing during the holidays.

Re: Walmart CLI denied

I'm going to ask this month, I stopped using it heavy because of no rewards. I want the Discover upgrade!

Re: Walmart CLI denied

I have had my walmart card over a year now, no CLi for me. I also have a few other of their cards, no cli on them either. I have an American Eagle that is over a year old with no CLI   credit limit 150.00  I can't do much shopping with a limit like that for 2 teenagers.   What a joke!
