Walmart CLI question

I heard you need at least 4 months before you can request CLI

Does it mean 4 statements?

Do you need to have used your card in all 4 months?

The thing is, when i got my card, 2 days later my first statement closed already and i didn't have time to make a purchase, so the first month i had a $0 balance, no statement

Does that mean i will need to wait 5 months and that that first cycle doesn't count ? or i can still apply for CLI anyway after 4 months ?

Re: Walmart CLI question

what are your reports looking like?

it doesn't mean statements themselves. if you have 0 balance it doesnt generate one.

i made 2 purchases in the same week and actually returned half of the first one and after i pif (didnt even wait for the fourth statement)

called in for a cli with a person and approved me for 3k from 800.

my score was hovering around 690's and walmart tu was at 728 no baddies just lots of inq's and low aaoa.

Re: Walmart CLI question

You dont need 4th statement to ask for cli, you can do it after 2-3 months by calling an underwriter....i opened mine last may with cl of $500...auto increased it to $900 in august and last week,i called to ask for another increase and asked for total limit of $3k but only approved $2k ....i have one collection from 6+ yrs, 3 charged offs ...and 12 inquiries in two yrs... Only asked me about my collection and they approved it!

yeah the one in the back door thread.

it gave me the automated crap and i just kept hitting 0 until a live person came on and asked for it there. so technically i didnt speak to an underwriter but the rep fowarded it to them i guess.

Re: Walmart CLI question

Yeah, ime you need four statements with a balance and you need to make four on time payments to get the cli or you will get a cli denial every time with "not enough experience at current credit limit" from most gecrb cards.

So not using it for four months and keeping a zero bal will get you DENIED for a cli. From what Ive seen, they'll do auto clis after 2-3 statements if you PIF! :-)
Marriott PR$25k | BCE $24.5K |BankAmericard Visa $25k| BOA Better Bal $17.5k |Wmt Discover $12.5k | BR Visa $17.5k | Amex Delta Gold $10k | Discover IT $10k | Paypal Extras MC $15k | Amazon Store $10k|Smile Gen $7.25k | Dillard's $10k | West Elm $4k| Express $3.05K | Mypoints.com Visa $4.5k | Freedom Visa $1k| Amex Surpass $1k

its clearly ymmv then. like stated i used the card 2 times in september for a total of 184 dollars and returned about 35 of that.

pif before statement was due.

a balance was never reported.

i still dont have a generated statement

but like i said i was denied via auto system but when i talked to the person i got approved.
