Walmart Cash Advance

I have the store card and can get 60 dollars of cash daily.  On a typical 30 day month lets call it 1800

I have a local bank that offers 2.5% interest.

1800*2.5%=45 a year or 3.75 a month

Question is.  If I do a cash advance daily and PIF monthly does GE hate me?

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

Better not risk it. Cash advances should really be used for only emergencies. They are like baits for FR as well

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

It's called quick cash, check your statement there is a limit. You will get shut down on advances when you hit that limit, its fairly low... Especially if you have only the store card, I just called trying to get mine raised on my Sam's Club card, and they said the max was $200, even confirmed with a supervisor, haven't bothered with credit solutions yet.

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

I wasn't sure if it was viewed differently with Walmart seeing as though it's counted as a purchase and no interest is accrued. Additionally it's marketed as a benefit on their website regarding the credit card. They don't appear to be adverse to people using the card in that manner.

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

I have only found it on my statements, doesn't appear on any other pages. I assume you chose paperless to get the free fico score, so just look at the previous month's statement, it may be on the phone automated system as well.

Re: Walmart Cash Advance

With the Walmart Discover, you can get up to $100 a day. I use Quick Cash to the tune of a coupple hundred per month and pif. It's literally 0% interest if you pif. There have been times when I'll pif and then get cash again after the statement just to keep  a balance from reporting.  I have a $15000 CL and no AA when I use the Quick Cash. It's pretty convenient tbh. Keeps me from having to pay fees or make an extra trip to the Chase ATM.

Also,

the Cash Access Line is ALWAYS supposed to be 20% of your total credit line, per GECRB's T&Cs.

I noticed that whenever I get clis on GECRB bankcards, the Cash Limit never reflects the 20% of total credit line as it should.

Call Customer Service again; tell them you know that your Cash Access line is supposed to be equal to 20% of your total credit line. If it isn't that much, ask them to change it. You might have to be a little persistent. I've had to do this on a few occassions. You can check the Cash Access line on the Full version of the site.

Good luck!!

I'll have to wait.  The approval was initally only 400 dollars and I got an instant CLI to 10,000.  However my cash limit is capped at 80.  I'll have to just wait till they raise it thanks guys.
