¡Hi everyone!
I'm planning to get one of these two credit card. I would like to know what would be the minium requirements to get aproved on one of these two cards.
Thanks!
the discover version is a little harder to get. but the regular store card is easier.
when you apply you will first be considered for the discover and if you dont meet the needs they will most likely approve you for the store version.
even if you get a low limit walmart grows with you and as long as you have a clean report fast!
i went from 800 in july for the store card to 5k at the end of october
but my reports are clean of baddies.
edit: sorry missed the question completly.
you can check whogavemecredit.com but like stated above the walmart store card is much easier to get and ive seen people in the low 600's get them. they mostly pull tu and are soft pulls for cli.
what are your reports looking like? scores, inq, util, aaoa, accounts etc....

The Walmart credit card is easier to be approved for, but I think that they just have one app and they consider you for both.
Thanks for the response, so fast!
My CS is: 671 (Equifax)
Inquiries: 0
AAoA: 2 years
Credits account in good standing: 7
I only have 1 delinquency on 1 account and was in 2011, the accound is already paid in full. Risk rate on FICO is 14% to lenders.

that baddie is obviously hurting you but i think you have a good shot at least at the store version.

Thanks for your response.
About the delinquency, it was a total mistake of mine to let the payment past due. Also I have an account (student loan) which I paid in full on this month (2 weeks ago) but it's still on the FICO report, do that amount shown even already paid in full could benefit or affect the decision on approval for the Walmart CC?
Thanks!

im sure it can effect it but not by much. installment loan util is placed way lower on the fico scale compared to revolving util

I seen people with few collections and low 600 scores get it. I think even high 500s can get it, but they probably had no baddies though.
how can you even get into the high 500's with no baddies?
