Just curious about thoughts on these cards............... are they in anyway connected to the Discover IT card.

No they're not connected to the Discover IT. Just uses the Discover system.

I like my Walmart discover card. They offer special financing from 6-24 months depending on how much you spend on in store purchases. It doesn't offer the greatest rewards, but you do get $10 cash back after reaching a certain spend total ($1000?). Plus you get a free monthly FICO score.

No , they only use the Discover network
