I closed my Walmart card because I didn't feel like managing it.  I like to keep my deck of cards on the light side.

For me, that's worked fine.  Keeping it open would be fine, too.

 

I still get my TU FICO by logging in (as other folks have mentioned).

Just got instant approval with a $700 CL. Will do my grocery shopping there from now on

I havent apped yet but i want to for the Walmart card ...i have 2 baddies though 1 CO in 2007 a med bill ....and 1 30day late payment 2 years ago this febuary Smiley Sad

 

 

 

Do they report to all 3 credit breaus ?

For what it's worth, I just got a CLI on my Walmart card. I started out at a measly $400 limit in October and in January I logged in one day to find my new credit limit was $900. 

 

I used the card all of once prior to this.

 

So I say keep it...you never know when you're gonna get a CLI. In the meantime, enjoy the free FICO.
