Check status application
Instructions
Call Walmart's credit card processing center at 877-969-3668 to check on the status of your application.
Listen to the prompt asking whether you applied for the card online or in a store. Respond by pressing the designated number on your phone keypad, and then follow the prompt to enter your Social Security number. After the system identifies you, it will tell you the status of your application.
Press "0" if you prefer to speak with a person. When a customer service representative answers, tell him you want to check on the status of card application. Tell the person your name, address and Social Security number. He will tell you the status of your application.
Interesting. I myself, am trying to determine wether I should take the plunge and apply at Walmart. I have FICO scores from all 3 in the low 700's with no baddies.
My problem is my oldest account is only 7 months long, and have two low limit Secured cards. I wonder of GECRB frowns on that.

You should be able to easily get the Walmart Discover. If it fits a need for you, go for it.
Thanks. I think i will go for the Walmart Credit card only. If I get denied, will the hard pull reflect that to future lenders?
That would be great, but my gut tells me Discover of any form would like to see longer credit history. Thanks for the advice
Did not realize that. Thanks Josh
