So it is possible to get a card... kind of. I think you were one of the lucky ones that somehow slipped through their system. With that said, I agree that WF doesn't have the greatest cards out there and they are anything like their banking then I'll stay clear. Unless of course somebody chimes in and changes my mind

I'm assuming this is directed towards me. It could be that I slipped through the crack, none of us will ever know. If you read through the thread over at FT, it seems to be a random 50/50 chance of them approving without an existing relationship. In a sense though, many lenders consider relationships; BoA, Chase, Citi, PNC, Keybank are a few off the top of my head. Now with that said, most people don't get denials from those lenders stating "lack of existing relationship" like they have been with WF.
