So with the businesses I manage I see many CCs on a daily basis and always take peaks at what people use. Creepy and weird I know... but I'm sure I'm not the only one addicted to CCs! Anyhow I see many of the black wells fargo CCs coming through and today I saw my first one with an EMV chip. Is this new or is everyone here in Austin just late in getting these? I've been thinking about getting one and when I saw this one had an EMV it made me edge closer into applying.
Haha your absolutely right. What gives? Plus you have to apply in branch unless you have a previous account with them. Definitely won't be doing that! I'm glad though because I almost got out of the garden for nothing
@Shock wrote:also what does it mean 5% back for 6 months? Intro only? Who would want a credit card like that lol
Actually it is pretty decent deal for drug stores if you're into MS (buying VRs/uploading to bluebird) and the reward amount is uncapped. Minus fees, for each VR ($500) you'll net around $20 cash back. Not bad if you use VRs for monthly spend on rent/mortgage, healthcare, car payments, insurance, and other expenses that can't be paid with a CC. Considering that CVS has nixed credit card VRs purchases, I would doubt it would be much benefit given the long-term value of this card post 6 months.

WF CCs are way beyond lackluster. They are pathetic. Not everyone can be Chase & Citi, but at least BofA, PNC and other brick-and-mortar banks offer something beyond a straight 1% cash back card. I'm appreciative that they gave me a secured card, and unsecured with my first 5-digit limit, but what is the point if the card is netflixed?
Wow, thanks eagle for your input. Good hearing about a card from someone who has it. I did look into their cards and there isn't any that have much of anything. 1% is ok but not worth my time, and I definitely won't be jumping hoops using bluebird or whatever. I'll stay away from them unless they come out with something worth using a HP on. Thanks for everyone's help
