Has anyone been approved or declined for this card recently? If so, please share any info.

I was approved for the Home Projects Visa from Wells a few months ago to finance a new air conditioner. I think it has the same underwriting as the outdoor solutions card.
They pulled TU and. I got an instant approval for $9200 limit with a TU score of 670 at that time.
it has a 1200 limit on the visa and the rest can be used at vendors that accept the payment. They offer special financing on home improvement purchases, got 9% for the term of the loan for the air conditioner with a fixed monthly payment. Its useless as a CC with a 27.99 interest rate.
After er making my purchase. I realized I could have gotten a better deal from. Lowes at 5.99% for up to 84 months but it was 112 degrees in Cali and I needed a new air conditioner ASAP.

Do you happen to remember the characteristics of your file at the time you applied? Util? Baddies? Income? Apply online or in a store? TU98 or TU04?
When my balances update I think my TU98 score will be in the same range as yours when you apped. I have a few old (Over 5 yrs old) baddies. I have a wells fargo rewards card with 0% util, as well as a Wells Fargo Financial store card with Ashleys Furniture with a 5700 limit. This card has about 45% util as I am in the middle of a 4 yr 0% promo. My over all util will be less than 29% when I app.
Any additional info you may have would be appreciated. I have 0 Inqs on my TU, so Im really want to avoid waisting a HP.

My TU 98 score at the time was 670 from here.
I beleive my util was around 20 to 25%. Only one baddie, a 5 year old charge off. I also have a car loan with Wells Dealer Services for 2 years, not sure if that played into approval or not. I had 3 inquiries on TU when I applied. The approval was instant. I applied online. If I remeber correctly when applying it asked for the vendor and expected purchase amount.
I think they are more genereous and lenient on these type of accounts where you get a small Visa line with a larger line for use with certain vendors. At the time of approval my highest line was $5k.
Keep in mind that this account will report as a revolving line. What are you buying? Lowes offers better financing deals if you can get what you need there.
Oh...income at the time ws $95,000

Looking to purchase an outdoor hot tub, so Lowes is not an option. Sounds like I may be good to go once my new account balances update.I plan to app online as well.
Thanks for the info!

Based on the info I got here and a few other factors, I decided to go ahead and apply for this card. I was approved with $6500 limit but only a 780 Visa limit. They pulled TU and my TU FICO from myfico was 663.
Again, thanks for the info.
