Hi everyone,
I applied exactly two weeks ago for the Wells Fargo college card. Afterwards, they had me fax my school schedule and said I would receive either a card or a rejection letter in the mail 5-7 business days after confirming it.
I have no way of knowing whether or not they got the fax, since I've not heard anything back. I figured I'd have something in the mail by now.
Does anyone have any experience with them so I can find out if this is normal, or is there something I should do?
Thanks.
Do you bank with wells fargo?
If you don't bank with wells fargo (from what I've read about them) you probably got denied. If you do bank with wells fargo you probably got approved. They're a big "relationship" bank.
If there is a WF branch near you I would just go in and sit down with a banker and have him call up for you, and bring a copy of your "Verification of Enrollment" form and maybe a copy of your class schedule, and this way if they did not recieve the fax he can go ahead and verify it for you right there over the phone.
I had a banker do my application for me, and they just approved me without even asking what my income was or for verification of whether or not I was in school.
Unfortunately, I just very recently signed up for a bank account there, and I did it online because I don't have a branch near me. Once I had the online banking set up, I applied for the card, because they require you first login to your WF bank account before you can apply for their credit cards.

I also applied for my account the day I opened a Checking/Savings (College Combo)
866 677 1128 is the only number for wells on the backdoor number thread.
It's a credit analyst, I would just call and ask the status of your app
Good Luck!
