Unfortunately, it's chip and sig primary and chip and pin secondary, so it will only go to chip and pin if machine will not take chip and sig ( such as unmanned ticket kiosks).
They'll send the assigned pin number after you received the card separately in one of those secured postcards, so don't throw away correspondence from Wells like I almost did
